Apple CFO Cites Chitika Data on Earnings Call

In one of the most highly anticipated earnings calls of 2013, Apple SVP and CFO Peter Oppenheimer cited Chitika Insights data, using stats from our most recent Tablet Market Share Study. 
Oppenheimer stated, "And in the enterprise, iOS devices have a strong lead over Android. In its most recently published quarterly enterprise device activations report, good technologies found that iOS devices accounted for 77% of all activations by its corporate customers. And thanks to careful App Store curation for the quality of apps, the iOS platform offers a much more secure environment...But perhaps the most important measure of the success of our ecosystem is how engaged our customers are with our products and services. In its most recently published update, Chitika found that iPad accounted for 82% of all North American tablet-led traffic in March."

Chitika's Brittney Exline Makes the Washington Post's Coveted "Young Futurists of 2013" List

It's not every day you get to work alongside the nation's youngest African American engineer, but at Chitika, we are lucky to every day! 20 year old Brittney Exline, one of our rock star Engineers, has been knocking down barriers for as long as she can remember. Brittney completed high school at the age of 15 and went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Computer Science and minored in psychology, classical studies, and math, so it was no surprise to us that she was featured this past Friday on Washington Post's The Root and ABC News blog The Grio, who called attention to her awe-inspiring journey through education and her career. A true "Chitikan" through and through, Brittney's zest for learning, passion, and drive has already made her a champion, with no signs of slowing down.
The Root has recognized Brittney as one of the nation's "Young Futurists of 2013," and The Grio put her on "The Grio's 100," which recognizes 100 African Americans who are making history in 2013. Chitika Named as Finalist for Boston Business Journal's "Healthiest Employers 2013"

The Boston Business Journal recently announced Chitika as a finalist in their annual "Healthiest Employers Program." Chitika is among the top 15 employers in Greater Boston nominated for the award. 
Over the last year, Chitika has been working hard to build our health and wellness program, starting with the addition of our "Performance Zone", which opened last spring. The Performance Zone was created as a place employees can keep productivity and energy high and is outfitted with everything from treadmill work stations to an area for mid-day stretching and yoga and even a ping pong table. Aside from making sure Chitika employees keep their energy high and feel good with healthy lunch and snack options, we also have seen a drop in sick days too! Boston Business Journal's Publisher Chris McIntosh says,  "With health care costs rising, a healthy workforce is more important than ever. The award and event will spotlight what area companies are doing to keep their workers off the sick rolls. And as we will report, these efforts go beyond keeping employees trim and healthy -- they also trim quite a bit off the bottom line."
In addition to our Performance Zone, the Chitika Inc. building also includes an on-site gym that employees have free access to, anytime throughout the day.  Since Chitika's inception, we have also been HUGE fans of "standing meetings," a tradition that is carried on multiple times each day. The idea, CEO Venkat Kolluri said, is to “work smart and move fast and have fun. When you are standing up, you are on your best game; your switch is turned on.’’
