The advertising industry is one of the most fast-paced, dynamic industries around today. With revolutionary changes in online advertising, social media, and mobile occurring daily, it can be hard for for businesses to prioritize their marketing strategies (both online and offline). Industry-wide, it is clear that mobile is set to have an explosive year in 2013, with many developments in mobile advertising and mobile web benefitting businesses due to the importance that is placed on geo-targeting/location-based apps and services. Our GM of Mobile Advertising, Matt Kojalo, was recently quoted in Streetfight Mag's article "5 Misconceptions SMBs Have About Mobile Advertising." His common misconception, that SMBs think that their online presence can't translate to mobile, is listed as misconception #1, saying "A misconception SMBs may have is that because they don’t have a mobile-enabled website, they can’t advertise in mobile. Most local listing partners ([whom] the SMB may already work with) may provide a mobile-enabled landing page … Some SMBs who are doing SEO may already have ads on mobile. Their keywords listings may already appear [on] Google’s mobile ad network."
